Why Mr. Bamboo®?

Mr. Bamboo harvests the larger bamboo species called "Moso", at about five years when it reaches full maturity, and the size of bamboo stalks are 4-6” in diameter. This species is not the same as the one that serves as a food supply for pandas, as it is too large for consumption.  

Because we focus only on eco-friendly bamboo, we pride ourselves in outstanding service and knowledge on bamboo building products. Mr. Bamboo was established in 1998, and has always acknowledged the value of their customers. This allows Mr. Bamboo to provide the highest caliber of product and service to our customers.

Mr. Bamboo is a manufacturer and marketer of the highest quality strand woven bamboo flooring. Our BamStrand® and BamLoc® strand woven flooring is 100% harder than red oak and 80% harder than hard maple. It is perfect for commercial and residential use. Strand woven boards are compressed in the same direction with environmentally safe adhesive under extreme pressure. The strands are then fused together, creating a solid plank that is nearly twice as dense as regular bamboo flooring. This is what makes strand woven bamboo flooring so strong and durable.

BamStrand® is solid strand woven bamboo flooring. It is used for nail down installations, and it comes in two beautiful colors with matching color accessories.

Mr. Bamboo is leading the way with innovative bamboo flooring products. In 2008, we introduced BamLoc®, the FIRST 100% solid prefinished strand woven floating, Uniclic-patented bamboo floor on the market. The self-locking system is perfect for concrete sub floors that are not suitable for nailing or gluing. BamLoc® is available in four beautiful colors with matching color accessories.

BamLoc® and BamStrand® are both prefinished with six coats of German ceramic finish with a 25 year Residential and 10 year Commercial finish warranty.
